Bill Brandenburg was waiting for his breakfast coffee to brew in his Plainfield home around 6:30 a.m. when he spied this site in his backyard. The retired information technology professional thought it was just one opossum at first but his wife Nancy told him it was much more. He grabbed his Canon SX1-IS, and after 46 years of subscribing, he’s made our pages.

This is the largest of several shelf fungi they found on the paths around Charlestown’s Rose Island, close to the trail that leads to the old amusement park’s pool.

Melissa Zuber, a florist from Cicero in Hamilton County, was sitting on her front porch waiting for her kids to get on the bus during late spring. The new subscriber noticed “perfect” dewdrops on the day lilies, grabbed her Kodak EasyShare C1550 16MP and decided to share the moment. Welcome to OI, Melissa.
