Scientific Name: Urocyon cinereoargenteus
Diet: Mainly meat such as rabbits, mice, poultry and birds. Also persimmons, nuts, grasses and field corn.
Habitat: Prefer forests and brushy woodlands. They are more common in the predominantly forested, south-central hills of the state.
Fun Fact: Some gray foxes may mate for life.
