Common Name: Peregrine Falcon

Scientific Name: falco peregrinus
Diet: Medium-sized birds such as pigeons, starlings, grackles and shorebirds
Status: State Endangered
Fun Fact: Considered the fastest animal on earth, the peregrine surprises its prey by diving toward it at speeds up to 200 m.p.h. and kills it's prey using closed talons to knock it senseless.
