Jeff Volz's Biography
JEFF VOLZ joined the Department of Local Government Finance in November of 2007. He and his staff are tasked with fulfilling the data requirements of the Department of Local Government Finance. This is accomplished by maximizing the efficiency of our internal processes and agency systems through the creation and maintenance of various programs necessary to analyze data received, facilitating the transparency of government through the use of online tools and/or assisting in public information requests, and providing enhanced customer service to taxpayers as well as county officials seeking compliance of data submissions.
Prior to joining the department, Mr. Volz spent eight years in the private sector, most recently as Manager of Manufacturing Systems for ICON Transportation in Indianapolis, where he was responsible for application development and project management. Previously, he was employed by Pitney Bowes MailCode, where he served as a project manager and application engineer, serving both corporate and government clients.
Mr. Volz holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana. He currently lives in Boone County with his wife and two children.
