IDHS > About IDHS > Inspections > Boilers & Pressure Vessels > Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inactive Database Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inactive Database

INSTRUCTIONS

The database is in an ASCII delimited by semicolon format in a zip file. The enclosed report defines the data in each of the 52 Fields to assist you in developing your own database.

To unzip the file:
1. Download the file bpv_inactive.zip by clicking the link below.
2. A dialog window prompts "Would you like to open the file or save to your computer."
3. Select Save.
4. Select the Directory you want (example: C:\) and Click on Save
5. BPV database will download into the directory you have chosen

There will be three files inside the zip file, the data file bpvinactive.txt, and the instruction files, bpvinactivereadmenet.doc and bpvinactivereadmenet.txt. Due to the size of the database, you should first open the application you are going to use (such as Access) and import the database files into the application.

If you have any questions, please contact DfbsDatabase@dhs.in.gov.

We upgrade the database several times a week to keep information current.
