07/30/2008: ATTENTION CHILD SUPPORT DEBIT CARD HOLDERS:

Please be aware that there are current reports of phishing emails, phone text messages, and vishing phone calls, intended to obtain personal and/or card information. Phishing and vishing are types of scams designed to steal your personal information. For example, you might receive a message that says that your debit card account has been closed, instructing you to call a phone number and give personal information to re-open the account.   Please be advised that the debit card vendor, EPPIC, will never request your personal information such as social security number, card number or PIN through any of these methods. If you receive these types of requests, do not respond to them. Being informed is your best defense. See the Protect Yourself link at www.eppicard.com for ways of avoiding identity theft.  If you believe your debit card account has been compromised, please call the number on the back of the debit card.   Additionally, you can report suspected scams to the Indiana Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division by visiting www.IndianaConsumer.com or by calling 1-800-382-5516.  People who have already fallen victim to this, or any other scam, can download an Identity Theft Victim Kit at the site.

7/10/08:  Attention Custodial and Non Custodial Parents:

The Johnson County Child Support Prosecutor's Office is currently closed due to the recent flood.   However, they have resumed taking phone calls on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you do not know the telephone number of your Enforcement Agent, please call 317-346-4525. They are now also taking walk-in questions at the Courthouse Law Library on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 to noon and 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Participants with an existing case can fill out the Information for Child Support Enforcement Sheet at the Law Library on any day or speak to someone on a walk-in day. Parties interested in applying for services can pick up an application packet during normal business hours at the Courthouse Law Library.  The packet will tell applicants what they need to do and who to contact to complete the application process.

We apologize for this inconvenience.   Please be patient while the office is temporarily closed.
