Indiana Dept. of Child Services Announces New Foster Care Reimbursement Rates:
Per Diem Changes Effective January 1 

With more foster parents, we will be able to:
Increase the number of locally placed children

As of May 2010:

  • 46% CHINS placements were in foster care (non-relative)
  • 74.2% were locally placed
  • 71.4% of siblings were placed together
  • Average number of placements moves per foster child: 2.5
  • Average number of days in care: 598.8
  • 119 children were adopted in May*

*This number may not include late entries.
