DCS  > Child Support > Non-Custodial Parent Information > Annual Support Fees Annual Support Fees

The Annual Support Fee (ASFE), commonly referred to as a docket fee, is a once-a-year administrative fee for processing child support payments.  The Annual Support Fee is $55.00 per child support case.  Either the State of Indiana or the office of the County Clerk may collect the fee depending on how the non-custodial parent (NCP) pays child support.

NCPs who submit their child support payments in cash to their office of the County Clerk may pay their fees at the Clerk's office.  NCPs that pay child support through income withholding will receive a notice by mail from the State of Indiana indicating that their Annual Support Fee is due.  Each notice can include up to 7 child support cases.  If the NCP has more than 7 child support cases, an additional notice is sent.  Coupons are included at the bottom of the notices for remittance of payments.  Annual Support Fees cannot be paid by credit card through our online payment service.  Checks or money orders for the Annual Support Fee payments should be made payable to the Indiana State Central Collection Unit (INSCCU) and mail to:

INSCCU - ASFE
PO Box 6271
Indianapolis, IN  46206-6271

Note:  This address is different than the address for regular child support payments.

To ensure proper credit, ASFE payments must be clearly marked as ASFE.  Regular child support payments cannot be included in the amount submitted for the ASFE.  If the NCP does not pay the entire ASFE amount, an income withholding order may be sent to the NCP's employer to have the fee withheld from earnings.

For general questions about Annual Support Fees, please call the Kidsline at (800 840-8757 or (317) 233-5437.
For specific questions (e.g. incorrect notice or fee amount), please contact the office of the County Clerk in the county where the order resides.
