| St. Joseph | St. Joseph county offers many services to clients through referrals to community agencies and assists them with accessing resources. Prevention can depend upon how the client participates in the offered services, which can stop a reoccurrence. CPS front-line workers, supervisors, and local agencies participate in in-service training. The PCA St. Joseph County, prevention programs consist of, but are not exclusive to the following: Roof Sit 2001 - it is an annual awareness fund-raiser to help fight child abuse in St. Joseph County and the surrounding areas. This event includes entertainment, a candle light vigil and testimonials from various participants. The 2001 PCA public awareness campaign slogan: "Your kids lose, if you use". Drugs and alcohol are the contributing factors in 85% of the reported cases of child abuse and neglect. The IUSB Early Childhood Conference is an annual event presented by The Task Force on Child Abuse Prevention.
