Entering Demographics
If the caller is using Internet Explorer and is still having difficulty completing the demographic screen make sure all the field titles have changed from red to black. This indicates that the fields have been entered in the proper format.
Some key areas are:
Name Field: If they have any spaces or additional punctuation the name field will stay RED. Have them Delete the name and retype it in. If it turns RED again have them stop and go back until it turns black. Also, the Middle name is not mandatory. Sometimes there are too many characters. Only enter the Initial if it is still RED.
Height: Must be entered in 3 digit code. For example height 5’4” would be entered as “504” and for weight of 98 pounds would be entered in as “098”.
If they are still having difficulties close down all the browser windows, open a new browser window and restart the registration process from the beginning.
Navigating Website
Although the registration site is compatible with all internet browsers, some people using Fire Fox or Safari have experienced problems navigating to the next page. We recommend they try launching Internet Explorer or Opera to complete the registration.
No e-mail address
All background check status notifications and all future update notifications are sent to the local DCS office or agency/facility with which the applicant is associated. Such notices are also sent to the applicant’s e-mail address provided during online registration. Free e-mail addresses are available by visiting yahoo.com or hotmail.com. An applicant can click on the “No e-mail” option to complete the registration. In this case, notifications will be sent only to the local DCS office or agency/facility with which the applicant is associated.
Applicants can update their E-mail address online @ the Online Customer Support Site by clicking on "Change E-mail" button. All new notifications will be sent to this e-mail address.
Retrieving Barcodes
The barcode will be presented on the screen and applicants may opt to print at that time. If an applicant is required to pay for the fingerprinting services, after completing the Paypal transaction click on "return to Vendor" link to see an onscreen version of the barcode. The barcode is also e-mailed to the address used during registration. If a copy of the barcode is needed, the applicant can click on "Reprint Barcode" and follow the prompts.
Scheduling appointments
The address and phone number for the Service Center are listed on the barcode receipt. Most of the Service Centers do not require appointments.
If they do require appointments it will instruct the applicant to select two dates and times during the registration process. The Service Center will receive an e-mail to confirm an appointment time. If the appointment time is not good they will receive an e-mail with two new dates and times. If the applicant does not receive a confirmation e-mail please direct the applicant to contact the service center directly.
We strongly recommend that applicants contact the Service Center in advance to confirm the standard time available for walk-up fingerprinting.
Setting up an Account with PrideRock

After we have your account setup, we will give you directions on how to process your transactions. We will send you a summary bill monthly electronically to your billing email address for all processed transactions. You may pay the summary bill by credit card, check or money order. We will also send you a separate detailed billing statement with the names of these individuals who were processed.
If you do not like this option, you can provide a credit card for billing purposes and will bill your card for each transaction you process. If you have to take advantage of this option, please fax the following to the number listed below:

Paying for More than one applicant
Applicants can only pay for one person at a time during each individual registration process. There are options to submit payment for more then one person by completing one of the following:
Paying with a Check
Select “Pay by Check” for each person registering.
In a cover letter please include the Names, Barcode, and last 4 digits of SSN for each person registering along with the agency/facility name and contact information.

Payment- Change Payment from Check/Money Order to Credit Card
Callers can change payment method from Check or Money Order to credit card by clicking on “Change Payment” button on the Online Support Site and follow the prompts.
1) If already printed: Applicants who have already been printed need to update the payment method through the online support site. DO NOT register again and pay by credit card because the new registration will not be associated with the fingerprints.
2) If NOT printed: Applicants who have not been printed can register again and pay by credit card. Applicants need to bring the NEW barcode with then to the service center.
If an applicant wants to change payment but does not have a computer, he/she can call the 1-800 number.
