North West Law Enforcement Liaison
Serving Benton, Fountain, Jasper, Lake, Montgomery, Newton, Parke, Porter, Tippecanoe, Vermillion, and Warren counties. 

Jeanette BennettMs. Bennett graduated from Ball State in 1974 and joined the Lafayette Police Department a few months later, eventually becoming the first female officer to work in her department's Patrol Division. She spent 17 of her 32 years of service in the Detective Division, including Juvenile and Narcotics. During this time in Detectives she was promoted to Lieutenant of the Criminal Investigations. In 1994 she transferred back to Uniform Division as a Shift Lieutenant and worked all 3 shifts during that period. In 1998 Ms. Bennett became her agency's Grant Coordinator for Traffic Safety. It was this assignment that led her to the Traffic Division Lieutenant for her department in 2002. Ms. Bennett also served as the Tippecanoe County DUI Taskforce Commander.
