Framework Subcommittee 2006-07
On October 13, 2006, Chairman Christopher Murphy appointed a subcommittee to readdress Indiana's Framework for Policy and Planning Development in Higher Education. The Framework document outlines the goals for postsecondary education in Indiana and the alignment of Indiana's system of higher education.
The goals include:
- Increasing student participation
- Ensuring affordability
- Increasing student success and degree completion
- Assisting in research and economic development
- Measuring student learning
The Committee worked to put forth a strategic plan for the development of Indiana's higher education system that ensures world-class education opportunities, provides the very best teaching and research, and guarantees accessible and affordable opportunities for Hoosiers.
On June 8, 2007, the Committee presented Reaching Higher: Strategic Directions for Higher Education in Indiana, which was unanimously approved by the Commission.
