    Mr. Christopher Murphy III

    Represents District 2 until June 30, 2014

    Chris Murphy is the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of 1st Source Corporation and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of 1st Source Bank, a South Bend-based financial institution with more than $3.2 billion in assets. Mr. Murphy has a strong educational background having received a B.A. in Government from the University of Notre Dame, an M.B.A. (with Distinction) from Harvard University Business School, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia Law School. In addition to his responsibilities at 1st Source, Mr. Murphy has served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the World Presidents' Organization in 2002 and has been a board member for several years.

    Ms. Marilyn Moran-Townsend

    (Chair) Represents District 3 until June 30, 2013

    Marilyn Moran-Townsend is in her 25th year of creating strategic sales, marketing and training programs for clients across the nation as Chairman and CEO of CVC Communications-Business Storytellers (SM). Ms. Moran-Townsend was Founding Chair of "Invent Tomorrow," a Fort Wayne community project created with the National Civic League. Under her leadership, the group developed a model Education Consortium to create collaboration among public and private K-12 schools and universities. Ms. Moran-Townsend is a Purdue University graduate with B.A. degrees in radio/television/film and journalism.

    Mrs. Susana Duarte de Suarez

    Susana Duarte de Suarez is the President and CEO of Media Moon Communications, a multi-cultural and bilingual marketing and communications company with expertise in building and maintaining a positive corporate image and premier brand position in the market through - social and mainstream marketing channels, cause marketing and corporate social responsibility, corporate philanthropy and community relations, issues management, public and media relations and strategc planning; with expertise in the Latino market.  Mrs. Duarte de Suarez has enjoyed a progressive career in various Vice Presidential and Senior Officer positions with Fortune 500 companies like Holcim, Cemex, and Anheuser-Busch.  She graduated from Ohio State University with a B.A. in Political Science, and the IMD Senior Management Program, Lausanne, Switzerland.

    Mr. Michael Smith

    Represents District 5 until June 30, 2014

    Mike Smith served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Anthem, Inc. and its subsidiaries, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. He was the co-executive lead of Anthem's $4.0 billion demutualization and initial public offering in 2001. Following the merger of Anthem and WellPoint Health Networks, Inc, Mike retired in 2005.  Prior to joining Anthem, Mr. Smith held various management positions, including Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, with Mayflower Group, Inc. from 1974 to 1995.   He is a member of the Board of Trustees at DePauw University and the Lumina Foundation, and on the Board of Directors of Kite Realty Group Trust, Emergency Medical Services Corporation, Inc., Vectren Corporation, HH Greg Appliances, Inc., Finishmaster, Inc., and its parent, Ldi Ltd., Lockton Inc., Carestream Health, Inc., and Valitas, Inc.  Mr. Smith is a founding member of Cardinal Equity Partners, a mid-market private equity investment fund headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana.

    Mr. Michael "Jud" Fisher, Jr.

    (Vice Chair) Represents District 6 until June 30, 2015

    Jud Fisher is responsible for managing the Ball Brothers Foundation in Muncie. He joined the Foundation in 2003 after working in administration for Old National Signature Group. A Michigan native, Mr. Fisher is a graduate of DePauw University and the Indiana University Center on Philanthropy.

    Dennis Bland, Esq.

    Represents District 7 until June 30, 2016

    Dennis Bland is the President of the Center for Leadership Development in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he also lives. Dennis Bland received his primary and elementary education through Indianapolis Public Schools and attended DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana following his graduation from Broad Ripple High School. After graduating from DePauw with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics, he went on to obtain his juris doctorate degree from Indiana University School of Law--Indianapolis.

    Mr. Dan Peterson

    Dan Peterson is Vice President, Industry & Government Affairs, for Cook Group, Inc., based in Bloomington, Indiana.  Since joining Cook Group in 1989, Dan has held a variety of leadership roles in the areas of operations, finance/accounting and human resources. His current responsibilities involve industry, government and external affairs.  His primary areas of focus center on policy and programs in healthcare delivery, as well as economic, education and workforce development.  Dan sits on many boards including the Indiana Dept. of Workforce Development State Workforce Innovation Council; BioCrossroads; Indiana Health Industry Forum; Bloomington Economic Development Corp.; and Indiana University Health Bloomington.  Mr. Peterson holds a B.S. in Biology (1984) and an MBA in Finance (1989), both from Indiana University.  Since 1963, Cook Group medical companies have been committed to creating innovative medical solutions that benefit millions of patients worldwide.

    Mr. Chris LaMothe

    Chris LaMothe currently serves as Chairman and CEO of Sherry Laboratories in Daleville, Indiana.  Prior to acquiring Sherry Labs with partners Van Smith & John Fisher, LaMothe served as President and COO of Oxford Financial Group, LTD., one of the largest private wealth management firms in the country, and has served as Chairman and CEO of the Trust Company of Oxford.  Previous to Oxford, LaMothe served as the President and CEO of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce.  During his tenure he grew the organization from the 42nd largest State Chamber of Commerce to the fourth largest statewide Chamber in the United States.  Mr. LaMothe was instrumental in the vision, funding and completion of numerous studies that were used to create a master plan for the direction of the State of Indiana, which became known as Economic Vision 2010, and remains as the foundation for the growing resurgence of Indiana's business climate.  Lamothe's additional current involvements include:  Harris and Ford LLC in Indianapolis; Street Corner Property Group in Indianapolis; Ontario Systems LLC in Muncie; and NuVo Technologies LLC in Cincinnati, Ohio.

    Dr. Gerald Bepko

    Gerald L. Bepko was first appointed at Indiana University in the School of Law--Indianapolis in 1972 and served the university in various capacities for 32 until his retirement in 2004. As Chancellor for seventeen years, he presided over significant changes including enrollment changes, increased research support, physical consolidation of the campus to West Michigan Street and a successful capital campaign for IUPUI which produced more than one billion dollars. In his last year of work as a university executive, Bepko served as Interim President of IU, in between Myles Brand's departure to become head of the NCAA and the appointment of Adam Herbert. Bepko earned a BS from Northern Illinois, a JD from the IIT Chicago Kent College of Law, and the LLM from Yale.

    Dr. Kent Scheller

    Faculty Representative until June 30, 2013

    Kent Scheller is an Associate Professor of Physics at the University of Southern Indiana, where he is responsible for teaching all levels in the physics curriculum.  His numerous on-campus service efforts include:  University Faculty Affairs Committee, University Strategic Planning Committee, University Core Curriculum Committee, and a third year serving as Vice Chair of the University Faculty Senate.  Dr. Scheller's off-campus community service includes: President of the South Gibson School Board of Trustees, Chair of the Superintendent Search Committee for the South Gibson School Corporation, and President of the Sts. Peter and Paul School Board of Trustees.  He received the Guthrie May Outstanding Senior Award in 1988 from the University of Evansville, Outstanding Graduate Teaching Award in 1991 from the University of Notre Dame, Distinguished Service Award in 2003 from the Gibson County Kiwanis, and the H. Lee Cooper University Core Teaching Award in 2007.  He received a B.S. in Physics from the University of Evansville, and both a M.S. in Physics and Ph.D. in Nuclear Astrophysics from the University of Notre Dame.

    Ms. Hannah Rozow

    Student Representative until June 30, 2014

    Hannah Rozow is an undergraduate student at Indiana University Bloomington pursuing a double degree in Journalism and Political Science, and a minor in Spanish language. She served as a legislative intern for the Indiana State Senate Majority Caucus during the 2012 session, and received  the Rick Gudal Memorial Scholarship from the Senate for dedication to public service, willingness to help others, a positive attitude, and strong work ethic.  She served a one-year term as treasurer of the Foster International Living Learning Center, of which she is still a member.  Ms. Rozow's other community service activities include: Republican Campaign volunteer, Christian Communicators of Indiana volunteer debate judge, and Indiana University College Republicans member.  She is also a member of Sigma Alpha Lambda and Sigma Alpha Pi.  Following graduation, Ms. Rozow aspires to work for Teach for America or another education-related organization for two years before attending law school.  She is a native of Milford, Indiana.
