Importation permits are must be obtained from the Indiana State Board of Animal Health prior to entering the state for the following species:
BISON/BOVINE: Entry permit must be obtained prior to entering Indiana. Call BOAH Ruminant Division at 317/227-0316 to obtain a permit.
CAMELIDS: Entry permit must be obtained prior to entering Indiana. Call BOAH Ruminant Division at 317/227-0316 to obtain a permit.
CATTLE/BOVINE: Entry permit must be obtained prior to entering Indiana. Call BOAH Ruminant Division at 317/227-0316 to obtain a permit.
CATS/FELINES: Entry permits required if animal originates from an area quarantined because of rabies. Call the BOAH Companion Animal Division at 317/227-0322 to obtain a permit.
DEER, ELK/CERVIDS: Entry permit must be obtained prior to entering Indiana. Call BOAH Ruminant Division at 317/227-0316 to obtain a permit.
DOGS/CANINES: Entry permits required if animal originates from an area quarantined because of rabies. Call the BOAH Companion Animal Division at 317/227-0322 to obtain a permit.
FERRETS: Entry permits required if animal originates from an area quarantined because of rabies. Call the BOAH Companion Animal Division at 317/227-0322 to obtain a permit.
SWINE: Call the BOAH Swine Division at 317/227-0311 to obtain a permit.
