The cost of the National Guard license plate includes only vehicle registration fees and taxes.
Active members of the Indiana Army or Air National Guard are eligible for this plate. At any license branch or partner location, you must present a current armed forces identification card and an authorization form (Form 402A for Indiana Army, Form 402AF for Air National Guard) from your unit commander identifying you as a current, active member. Verification is required each subsequent renewal year. You will receive the plate in the mail within 14 days.
You may display this plate on passenger cars, trucks up to 11,000 pounds, and recreational vehicles.
Your plate should have stickers showing the day, month, and year of your next registration renewal, and the county in which your vehicle is registered. Indiana law prohibits license plate frames or covers that obscure stickers, text, or numbers on your plate.
