Governor, U.S. Ag Secretary Talk Renewable Energy at BioTown Groundbreaking and Purdue Roundtable
Governor Mitch Daniels will be joined by U.S. Agriculture Secretary Mike Johanns on March 21 to break ground for BioTown, USA’s Phase II technology suite. BioTown is the country’s first effort toward creating communities where all energy needs are met through biorenewable resources.
Following the BioTown event, Secretary Johanns will travel to Purdue University where he will be welcomed by Purdue University President Martin Jischke and will discuss specifics related to renewable energy in the Bush Administration’s farm bill proposals. Secretary Johanns will be joined by other USDA and Indiana officials, as well as Purdue University faculty and staff.
