To the crowd of over 3000, Auditor Nass commented on the Oakland City University motto: ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE IN A CHRISTIAN ENVIRONMENT. She continued, “Scripture reveals that the greatest among you must become a servant to others. You become a servant to others and as importantly, a slave to your own code of conduct. You become a slave to simple sounding, but thoroughly encompassing statements of ethical principles. These principles are fundamental to your very soul. Now, what does the Lord require of you – but to do justice – love kindness – and walk humbly with your Lord.”
