Indianapolis-Indiana Auditor of State Connie Nass will be a guest
on "The Stan Solomon Show" on Tuesday, August 14, 2001,
beginning at 3:30 p.m. EST. The live radio broadcast can be heard
on WPZZ 95.9 FM.
Foremost among the topics that will be discussed by Auditor Nass
are the fiscal health of Indiana state government and Mrs. Nass'
contribution to a newly-published book, "21st Century Government:
Essays in Leadership". Auditor Nass contributed a chapter
on governmental accountability. The book will be released during
the 2001 National Association of State Auditors, Comptrollers,
and Treasurers conference in Idaho during August 17-22, 2001.
Auditor Nass also will talk about the latest edition of the Auditor
of State's publication, "A Report to Indiana's Citizens on
the State's Finances". Illustrated with charts and graphs,
this report gives the citizens of Indiana a straightforward and
accurate way to evaluate the State's finances. Also included in
this edition is a chart explaining the flow of gambling revenue
and a list of the funds that receive these distributions.
Connie Nass was elected in 1998 as Indiana's fifty-third State
Auditor. She is known for demonstrating strong leadership and
effective management while carrying out her many public and private
duties. Mrs. Nass is a native of Dubois County where she served
as mayor of Huntingburg.
