| Indianapolis-The Auditor of State's office was proud
to be a participant at the Third Annual Latino Expo at the Indiana
Convention Center on Monday, July 9, 2001. The Expo is presented
by Hispanic Hoosiers, Inc.
Aided by a prominent display that featured a bilingual greeting
and office brochures in Spanish, Auditor Nass talked to the approximately
4,000 Expo attendees about the importance of being involved in
government and pursuing job training to prepare them
for the 21st century economy.
"The face of Indiana is changing," Auditor Nass said.
"We must acknowledge and
recognize the importance of diversity in our community. Hispanic
people in Indiana have demonstrated the ambition and desire to
become intregal members of our Hoosier family."
The Latino Expo is an opportunity for job seekers and local businesses
to talk to members of Indiana's Hispanic community. Seminars were

and using the Internet. Expo participants could complete applications
from banks, hotels, and government.
