Do Not Call
Hoosiers have overwhelmingly decided to exercise their right to freedom from telemarketers by registering on the Do Not Call list. The Telephone Privacy Division maintains, updates, and enforces this list. The attorney general's office also defends the list against attacks by groups that attempt to challenge it.
All Indiana residents can register a residential phone numbers on the list that forbids most telemarketers from calling. The service is free and easy to use. Although many states have do-not-call lists, Indiana's is the most restrictive and effective.
