Please note:

If your complaint involves a contract or written agreement, order blanks, warranties, credit card receipts, advertisements, cancelled checks, correspondence or other related documents, you should download the consumer complaint form (En Español) and mail it to the Consumer Protection Division along with copies of the appropriate documentation.

Police Departments and Police Officers

Internet Scams

Please note that the Federal Bureau of Investigations Internet Fraud Division has jurisdiction over solicitations and scams via the Internet. You can fill out an Internet fraud complaint from the FBI at www.ifccfbi.gov (opens in new window). You may also want to contact your Internet Service Provider. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is also responsible for investigating child pornography solicitations that occur via the Internet. The Consumer Protection Division will send a copy of your complaint to the respondent firm or licensed professional.  

This office cannot disclose your complaint against a licensed professional to the public unless this office files a disciplinary action against the licensed professional.  This office cannot disclose your complaint against any other person or firm without your consent.  

This office represents the State of Indiana and is strictly limited in what remedies it can pursue.  You may be entitled to compensation or other rights that we cannot pursue for you.  In addition to filing this complaint, you should contact a private attorney or a small claims court.
