Office of the Indiana Attorney General

As a part of Indiana’s anti-demand initiative, you have the opportunity of allowing your organization to be a part of the “Not Buying It" campaign.  Because we know that education is an important component to reducing demand for commercial sex and human trafficking, we suggest trainings for all staff as well as modification of policies to not tolerate business resources being used to fuel the commercial sex industry.

If your organization agrees to be a part of the “Not Buying It" campaign, you agree to do the following:

Schedule Human Trafficking training for all staff.
Modify Human Resources policies to indicate:
    • No resources (time, monetary or otherwise) will be used for any adult entertainment facility and that using business resources for such activity or reimbursement shall be a disciplinable offense.
    • Disciplinary action for an arrest under Indiana’s solicitation or human trafficking statutes.
Post in all public areas of the office (break room, etc.) a poster with warning signs of human trafficking as well as the National Human Trafficking Hotline.

Trained members of Indiana’s anti-trafficking task force, IPATH (Indiana Protection for Abused and Trafficked Humans) will provide your company with the trainings and education material and are available to answer any questions you might have.

Submit your information here to learn how your organization can take the "Not Buying It" pledge.
