Indiana will celebrate its 200th birthday in 2016. As part of the statewide Bicentennial Celebration, the Indiana Arts Commission is working on several programs in conjunction with the Indiana Bicentennial Commission that will commemorate the history and future of arts and culture in the state. Below is information regarding each of the programs proposed. More information will be posted as it becomes available. 

On July 10, the Indiana Arts Commission will announce two major Indiana Bicentennial projects and grant opportunities. 

Special presentations and remarks will be made by:

  • First Lady and Bicentennial Ambassador, Karen Pence
  • Senator Jon Ford, Terre Haute
  • Eric Koch, State Representative from the Nashville region
  • Cam Clark, Director, Department of Natural Resources
  • Nancy Stewart, Chair, Indiana Arts Commission
  • Lewis Ricci, Executive Director, Indiana Arts Commission
  • Jeff Kuehl, President of the Indiana Coalition for the Arts
  • Kathy Anderson, Vice Chair of the Indiana Arts Commission, Nashville
  • Jon Kay, Director, Traditional Arts Indiana

All members of the public are invited. Light refreshments will also be served following the announcement.
