How-To Artist Workshops for Developing Site-Specific Projects
Artists will learn how to create a successful site-specific, community-based arts project through the lens of the Arts in the Parks and Historic Sites grant program. Community-based arts projects are an exciting and creative way of engaging new audiences with your work, while expanding your capacity as an arts professional. Each workshop features a professional peer artist there to share their advice and experience, a naturalist for understanding how to operate in a park setting, and IAC staff there to help you understand best practices to securing funding, particularly through the Arts in the Parks and Historic Sites program. Enjoy great company, information, refreshments and inspiration all in a stunning state park setting. Each event starts at 1:30 p.m. local time.
The workshops are free, but attendance is limited to 30 so registration will be required to attend. Presenters, timing and agendas are still being developed. Continue to check back for more information.
