TRF ONLINE FAQ

Username and Password:

Q: What is my username?
A: Your username is your email address.
Q: How do I create a password?
A: You may select a password of your choice. It must be at least six characters in length and cannot contain all lower case or all upper case letters unless it contains a number or symbol. You may have all lower case or upper case letters if the password contains a number or symbol.
Q: I don't like the password I created. May I change it?
A: Yes, go to the TRF member login page and select "Change Password." You must enter your old password first and then create a new password.
Q: I cannot remember my password, how do I login?
A: You may request a new password by going to the TRF member login page and clicking on "Forgot Password." Your password will be emailed to you.

Personal Identification Number (PIN):

Q: Why do I need a PIN?
A: A PIN is needed to provide TRF customers with the highest level of security. Your username and password may be used to access other state of Indiana services through Access Indiana applications. The PIN, along with your username and password, ensures you are a TRF member. The PIN is emailed to the registered email address.
Q: I lost my PIN, how do I get a new one?
A: You must re-apply for a new PIN. Go to the member login page and click the "Need a PIN" link. Once you have signed in with your existing username and password, you can re-apply for your new PIN.
Q: Can I change my PIN?
A: No, your PIN is randomly generated and cannot be changed. If you lose your PIN, you must re-apply for another one to access your account online.
Q: I think I may have applied for a PIN twice, will two PIN's be emailed to me?
A: Yes. If you have already applied for a PIN and then re-applied, please use the last PIN received to access your account. The first PIN will be deactivated.
Q: I am receiving the error "You have entered an invalid username, password or PIN." How do I know which one it is?
A: For security reasons, we are not allowed to tell you if you have entered an invalid username, password or PIN.
Q: My account is temporarily unavailable, what should I do?
A: Please re-apply for a new PIN. Go to the member login page, click the "Register for Your PIN" link. Follow the instructions and a new PIN will be emailed to the registered email address.
