Event Description:
Historic Eleutherian College
6927 W SR 250, Madison, IN

Annual Fall Festival at the Historic Eleutherian College.  Tours; blacksmith, spinning and archaeology field demonstrations; the Vernon Greys Civil War Re-enactors; and books on the Underground Railroad from the Jefferson Co. Library.  Speakers will include:  Dr. Sean O'Neill (Hanover College): Update on Archaeological Work; Logan Kunselman, Hanover College intern:  "Unearthing History: Creating a brochure for the Underground Railroad in Jefferson Co.", and Dr. Mark Furnish:  "Just how interracial was Eleutherian College, anyway?: An Initial Attempt to Determine Eleutherian College Student Demographics."
