Project WILD Educator Workshop

June 3, 2019 from 9:30AM – 4:00PM

Learn to share conservation with students: Professional Development for anyone who works with children.

Project WILD invites you to explore and share the fascinating world of wildlife and ecosystems using fun, hands-on educational activities. With widely adaptable activities, you will experience engaging Common Core Standards, Next Generation Science Standards, and Indiana Academic Standards-aligned classroom and outdoor activities while networking with other educators.

This workshop is tailored to the Indiana Academic Standards, Agriculture and Environmental Science. Activities used during this workshop will focus on middle school and high school level, STEM, habitat, and natural resources. This workshop is open to all educators regardless of what they teach. The Project WILD educator guide contains 81 activities concentrating on terrestrial wildlife, habitat, and ecological concepts that are adaptable to any learning setting.

Workshop participants will receive:
• Project WILD K-12 Curriculum & Activity Guide
• 6 hours of professional development that can be applied towards Teacher’s Professional Growth Experience Points
• Indiana-specific resources
• Certificate of workshop completion

Cost: $25.00
Cash, check or money order due at the workshop. Please make checks payable to Indiana Natural Resources Foundation.

Anyone who works with children (teachers, homeschoolers, informal educators, scout leaders, and more) are welcome to attend.
• Wear comfortable shoes and weather appropriate clothing
• Please bring your lunch
• Pre-registration is required
• Check or money order due the day of the workshop
• Let the gate attendance at Fort Harrison State Park know you are there for this workshop to waive your entrance fee

Registration fee is for WILD training. WILD materials are distributed only with requisite hours of training. Attendance and participation in the entire workshop are required to receive any of the materials, regardless of fee payment.
