Stargazing, Summit Lake State Park
Start Date: 6/3/2017Start Time: 9:00 PM
End Date: 6/3/2017
Event Description:
At sunset on June 3rd, join Steve & Debbie Russell at the end of campground Loop A to see the heavens through telescopes.  As soon as the sky gets dark, the Moon and Jupiter can be seen, and after twilight ends we can see the fainter, more distant star clusters. Saturn will be available after about 11 o’clock.

Please do not use white flashlights or cell phones in the area, as they eliminate the night vision of everyone nearby.  Bring your telescope if you would like help getting the best views from it.

Stargazing events are always dependent on clear sky.  This particular night, the tiny bright dot just below the Moon will be Jupiter. The pair will be quite lovely together through your binocular!
