Veterans Shooting Sports Range Day, Roush Fish & Wildlife Area

July 15th: 10:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Roush Fish & Wildlife Area will be hosting a Veterans Shooting Sports Range Day event. This event is proudly sponsored by the Huntington County Veterans Council and Service Office, VFW Shooting Sports, and American Legion Post 7 & 85.

This event is designed to provide veterans and their families with a safe and friendly shooting opportunity.  Participates will have the opportunity to compete in the Military Weapon Marksmanship Challenge using 1903 Springfield, M-1, and M-16 rifles, along with a 1911 pistol. The Fee to compete in the challenge is $5 per weapon or $20 for all 4. Prizes will be awarded. All weapons and ammo will be provided for the challenge events. We invite you to bring your own firearms and ammo (see notes for restrictions) to shoot for FREE on our rifle, pistol, and shotgun ranges during the event. Lunch and soft drinks for veterans is FREE and guest meal tickets are only $5 each. Ear and eye protection is required at the range.

Pre-registration is encouraged due to limited space.

NOTE: NO automatic weapons or weapons .50 cal or larger are allowed on DNR ranges.
