[DNR] Practice plant ID with a naturalist at Paynetown SRA, June 29

Event Description:
Guests can work on their field identification skills by practicing with a naturalist during a two-hour Flora Field Day at Monroe Lake’s Paynetown State Recreation Area on Sunday, June 29.

Start time is 9:30 a.m.

The focus will be identifying flowering plants and trees. No registration is required. Participants should meet in the Overflow Parking Area at Paynetown SRA, which is on the right after passing the entrance gatehouse.
Jill Vance, Monroe Lake’s interpretive naturalist, recommends that participants bring the following items, if they have them: field guides, bug spray, notebook and pencil, hat, sunglasses, and a camera.

There is an entrance fee of $5 per in-state vehicle or $7 per out-of-state vehicle.
