Poetry & Prose on the Prairie: A One-Day Writing Workshop, Prophetstown State Park

Event Description:
"Poetry & Prose on the Prairie" is a writing workshop for writers at all levels led by Charity Singleton Craig from 9-3 on Saturday, September  7, 2019, in the Coneflower Shelter of Prophetstown State Park. The workshop will include sessions on observing nature; naming and cataloging flora, fauna, weather, and geologic features through research; drawing from personal memories; and integrating their own lives and experiences with the natural world to create inviting poetry and prose. REGISTRATION: The program is free with park admission, but registration is required at Scholarships to cover the park admission fee are available, and details will be available upon registration.
DETAILS: Participants should where comfortable clothing and be prepared to do light walking. Accommodations are available for participants with limited mobility. Snacks will be provided, but participants should bring a sack lunch.
