Event Description: Join Indiana Master Naturalist, David Heiniger, for an introduction to amateur astronomy for people who have always had the interest but have never had the chance to get exposed to it. How do telescopes work anyway? What would be a good first telescope? What telescope can I buy my kid without breaking the bank? How can I find objects in the night sky when I don't know what's there? What other equipment do I need or don't need? Telescopes and other equipment will be present for this 2 hour talk and demonstration at the Mounds State Park Nature Center. |
