Event Description:
Autumn Camping Weekend 2

October 11 - 12, 2019

Friday, October 11 (6:30-8:30 p.m.)

Register for Weekend Events. Those who register will be entered into a special prize drawing.

Bring on the Baskets! Donate a filled basket for the silent auction from your family or company. Everyone welcome to bid! Shirt Sale. New this year for ACW II only, t-shirts and sweatshirts available with no pre-order necessary. Preorder still available.

Pumpkins for Purchase. Good for campsite decorating!

Kettle Corn Welcome. Served at 7 p.m. Bring your own bowl. Donations appreciated.

Saturday, October 12

9-10:30 a.m. Breakfast by Friends of Mississinewa Lake. Donations appreciated.

12:30-2 p.m. Pumpkin Decorating, Corn Hole Competition ($5 per adult), and Youth Target Shoot. Come to the front playground field near the campground entrance to participate in any of these three fun activities. Pumpkin decorating judging starts at 1:30 p.m. with certificates awarded at 2 p.m. by age groups.

4:30 p.m. Trick-or-Treat. Disguise yourself in your favorite costume. (Nothing gory please.) Adults and their  children will travel through the campground.  Roads will be closed to vehicle traffic from 4:15 - 5:45 p.m. Event ends at 5:30 p.m.

7-9 p.m. Boots  & Blue Jean Ball. Back by popular demand! Country music with a caller and line dance instructor. Don't forget to wear your boots and blue jeans to the program shelter.    

8 p.m. Chili Cook-off. Bring your best Chili to the program shelter to have your special recipe judged by fellow campers. $2 entry fee. Campers bring a few bucks for voting. Enjoy the country dance and music while the food tasting is underway.    

9 p.m. Awards and Weekend Drawings. Must be registered and present to win at Program Shelter. Winners for Silent Auction, Campsite Decorating Contest, Chili Cook-off  and special prize drawings will be announced.                                                                 

We'll award nights of free camping for the top three decorated sites to be used in 2020. *Holiday Weekends, Autumn Camping Weekends, cabins and AA sites are excluded. Camp Cooking contest winners receive a cash prize and certificate. Anyone that registered for the weekend events could win a camping item in the special prize drawings.
