Autumn Camping Weekend 1

Most activities begin at the Miami S.R.A. Modern Campground Interpretive Program Shelter near the water tower. 

Friday, October 4 (6:30-8:30 p.m.)

Register for Weekend Events. must be registered to be included in special prize drawing.
Bring on the Baskets! Donate a filled basket for the silent auction from your family or company. Everyone welcome to bid!

Shirt Pick-up. Pre-ordered shirts only for ACW I.

Pumpkins for Purchase. Good for campsite decorating!

Kettle Corn Welcome. Served at 7 p.m. Bring your own bowl. Donations appreciated.

Saturday, October 5

9-10:30 a.m. Pancake Breakfast.  Donations appreciated.

12:30–2 p.m. Life is Better at Mississinewa Lake.  Come to the front playground field near the campground entrance to participate in fun lake-themed activities and crafts. The U.S. Army Corps of  Engineers will be joining us!  

4:30 - 5:30 p.m. Trick-or-Treat. Disguise yourself in your favorite costume. (Nothing gory please.) Adults and their children will travel through the campground. Roads closed to vehicle traffic from 4:15 - 5:45 p.m. 

6:30 p.m. Canoe Lake Adventure. Meet at the beach for evening canoeing.  Limited number of canoes available; advance registration: 260-468-2127

8 p.m. Camp Cooking Contest Judging. Make your best camp cooking creation and bring to the program shelter to have your special recipe judged by fellow campers. $2 entry fee. Campers bring a few bucks to vote for your favorite. Enjoy playing  Mississinewa Lake Bingo while the food tasting is underway.

9 p.m. Awards and Weekend Drawings. Must be registered and present to win at the Program Shelter. Winners of Silent Auction, Campsite Decorating Contest, Camp Cooking Contest, and special prize drawings will be announced. We'll award nights of free camping for the top three decorated sites to be used in 2020. *Holiday Weekends, Autumn Camping Weekends, cabins and AA sites are excluded.  Camp Cooking contest winners receive a cash prize and certificate.
