Children's Sculpting Workshop, Potato Creek State Park
Start Date: 5/25/2019Start Time: 11:00 AM
End Date: 5/25/2019End Time: 2:00 PM
Event Description:
Jennifer Dwyer will hold a sculpting workshop for children. Participants will create a native insect or animal life cycle out of air dry clay. Not only will the children have fun getting their hands dirty, but they will learn about conservation, preservation and rare or endangered animal species native to Potato Creek State Park. Additionally, Jennifer will create large scale ceramic sculptures depicting the life cycle of the spotted turtle that lives in the park. She will sculpt the turtle in its two life phases: eggs and adult. These sculptures will be displayed over the summer of 2019. The sculptures and workshop are funded by the Indiana Arts Commission through an Arts In The Parks grant. All children are welcome!
