Living History Weekend, Spring Mill State Park

Event Description:
May 25th:
Play with Pioneer toys on the Mill Lawn
Visit the encampments all day talk with and take pictures with the soldiers and their fami-lies.
10:00 to 2:30 Stop by the pioneer toy table in the Up-per Residence
10:00 First Grind of the Grist Mill (will grind at the top of every hours Last grind 4:00pm)
10:00 Village Tour.  Meet at the Weaver's Cabin
1:30 Sawmill Demonstration Watch as the Wood worker cuts lumber using water power
2:30 Skirmish on Sycamore Field. Watch the soldiers fighting as cannons are fired at the opposing field.
3:30 Stop by the weaver’s cabin and hear the story of Outlaw Sam Bass.

EVERY DAY:  
4:30 Mill Closes
4:40 Mercantile Closes
5:00 Village Closes

May 26th:
8:30 am Non-denominational Worship Service Village Meeting House
Play with Pioneer toys on the Mill Lawn
10:00 to 12:00 Make a pioneer toy called a thaumatrope (a toy that proves the persistence of vision)
Visit the encampments all day talk with and take pictures with the soldiers and their fami-lies.
10:00 First Grind of the Grist Mill (will grind at the top of every hours Last grind 4:00pm)
11:00 Village Tour.  Meet at Weaver's Cabin
1:00-2:00 The music of Stony Point (Upper Residence)
1:30 Sawmill Demonstration Watch as the Wood worker cuts lumber using water power

4:00 Play the game of graces a pioneer game played since the 1500’s (Mill Lawn)
Sunday afternoon watch for the Group Stony Point they will be playing music on the Upper Res Porch

May 27th 
10:00-1:30 Visit the pioneer toy table
11:00 Village Tour.  Meet at Weaver's Cabin
2:00 Pioneer Memorial Service at the Hamer Cemetery
4:00 Play the game of graces -a pioneer game played since the 1500's.
