PUBLIC NOTICE: Proposed Fish & Wildlife Area project, Kosciusko County
Start Date: 4/20/2018 All Day
End Date: 5/20/2018
Event Description:
Where: One site at Tri-County FWA in Kosciusko County, Indiana

Description: The proposed project in Kosciusko County is a multi-stage drainage renovation project on Tri-County FWA. This project concerns using federal and state license funds to repair, replace and renovate two existing water-control structures and associated levees. One existing stop-log control structure on Mallard Pond will be removed and replaced with a new, similarly functioning structure. The existing culvert on Wood Duck Pond will be removed and a new stop-log control structure will be installed.

New ground disturbance is expected to be minimal as both structures will be occupying previously disturbed areas. Rip-rap will be installed around the structures to prevent erosion and increase the resilience of existing levees.

The DNR Division of Fish & Wildlife solicits comments about any potential impacts to environmental, cultural and historical resources. Please send comments or questions to: Jorgen Rose, DNR Division of Fish and Wildlife, 402 W. Washington Street, Room W273, or to <>. Deadline for comments is May 20, 2018.
