[DNR] Reptiles, amphibians are “Lunch with Nature” topic at Monroe Lake, April 23

Event Description:
The topic for the next installment of Monroe Lake’s free Lunch with Nature program, April 23, will be “Herptile Emergence.”
The 90-minute program starts at 11 a.m. at Paynetown Activity Center.
Because of limited space, the April program is limited to 12 attendees. Registration is required by April 21 by emailing with your name, phone, and number of people in your group, or by calling (812) 837-9967.

An indoor presentation will discuss when and how different reptiles and amphibians in Indiana emerge from winter dormancy. Participants are encouraged to bring a sack lunch.
After the presentation, attendees will take a short hike along the lake to look for basking turtles and snakes.
There is an entrance fee of $5 per in-state vehicle and $7 per out-of-state vehicle. Annual entrance passes are also available.
