Eight projects involve rehabilitation of existing public access sites (PAS) that are in need of repair and to ensure that the sites are compliant with ADA standards.  The projects will consist of replacing the existing boat ramps with new prefabricated concrete boat ramps and installation or upgrade of an ADA-accessible concrete parking pad. The rehab projects at Deniston PAS, Upper Long PAS, Big Piney Pond in Glendale Fish & Wildlife Area (FWA), Otter Pit in Bluegrass FWA, and Pigeon Pit in Sugar Ridge FWA will provide public access to ponds and lakes. The rehab projects at Gas City PAS, Shelby PAS, and Spencer PAS will provide access to the Mississinewa, Kankakee, and White rivers.

Two new construction projects will involve the installation of both new concrete canoe ramps and ADA-accessible parking pads. The White Bridge PAS is located at the White Bridge Picnic Area in Wells County, and would provide new public access to the Wabash River and ADA-accessible parking. The Knightstown canoe launch project in Rush County would provide new public access to the Big Blue River and ADA-accessible parking. A new gravel parking lot and entrance road will also be constructed at the Knightstown site.
