Electrofishing Demo, Paynetown SRA (Monroe Lake)

Electrofishing Demo at 1:00 p.m.
Location: Fishing Pier


Electrofishing uses direct current electricity to attract fish so that they can be easily netted (with no harm to the fish!). It's a common scientific survey method used to sample fish populations to determine abundance, density, and species composition. Debra King, a Fisheries Biologist with the Indiana Division of Fish and Wildlife, will do a live electrofishing demo. 30 minutes
