Event Description:
Adaptations are traits or characteristics that help a plant or animal survive. They include mimicry, camoflage, warning colorations, but also less obvious traits. Why do mosquitos bite us? (Hint: there's more to it than just food). How is the fishing spider able to stay underwater? Do woodpeckers ever get headaches? Does the bushy tail of a fox squirrel serve a purpose? Come to the Visitors Center to find this out and more!
