Event Description:
Saturday, May 27

9:30am Help Feed The Birds - Come to the nature center to help put out seed and suet, and then watch as wild birds and mammals eat and interact. 20 minutes

10am Feeding Time At The Nature Center - Come meet our captive animals as we offer them breakfast, and see how they eat and how they capture their prey. Warning: live food will be consumed.

2pm Cute & Squishy – Join us at the nature center to meet a live salamander and dicover just how amazing our native salamanders are! 40 minutes.

8pm Recycled Bubbles – Gather beside the playground near C-loop campsites, and create bubbles as big as people from stuff around your house. Pick up a recipe for your own homemade bubble solution. 45 minutes.

Sunday, May 28

9:30am Help Feed The Birds
- Come to the nature center to help put out seed and suet, and then watch as wild birds and mammals eat and interact. 20 minutes

10 am Turtle Talk – Gather in the nature center to meet 2 types of live turtles, then make one to keep. 40 minutes.

2pm Snake Mobile – Touch a live snake, and create a cryptically colored snake mobile to fit into the habitat of your imagination.

9pm Bat Hike – Join Maggie at Whispering Winds picnic shelter to discover some amazing things about our only flying mammal, then take a short easy hike to see them take flight. 1-hour family friendly program.

10am Help Feed The Birds
- Come to the nature center to help put out seed and suet, and then watch as wild birds and mammals eat and interact. 20 minutes

10:45am Ogle The Osprey – Meet at the WEST Parking Lot (west end of dam) for a short easy hike to watch osprey. May glimpse chicks in the nest, adults fishing and bringing fish to chicks, and other parenting activities. Bring binoculars, we’ll share a spotting scope. 30 minutes.

2pm Frog Frolic – Meet a live frog, visit a frog pond and make a little jumper of your own. 40 minutes. Nature Center.
