Outdoor Indiana Magazine Project WILD Educator Workshop
February 29, 2020 from 9:00AM - 3:00PM (Central Time Zone)

Project WILD invites you to explore and share the fascinating world of wildlife and natural resources using fun, hands-on educational activities. Learn how to teach conservation to children through a Professional Development workshop.

During this workshop, participants will be introduced to Project WILD an award winning international environmental education program. This workshop is designed to help educators teach wildlife and natural resources to students, kindergarten through 12th grade, in formal and non-formal classrooms. Project WILD materials are correlated to Common Core Standards, Next Generation Science Standards, and Indiana State Standards. The lessons are designed to foster awareness, appreciation and stewardship of natural resources, while expanding students’ knowledge and skills.

Workshop participants will receive:

  • Project WILD Educator Guide,
  • Six contact hours that can be applied towards Teacher’s Professional Growth Plan (PGP),
  • Certificate of workshop completion in Project WILD,
  • Indiana-specific resources,
  • Lunch
  • And more!

 Anyone who works with children, including teachers, homeschoolers, informal educators, and scout leaders are welcome. Pre-registration is required to attend. At the workshop, please wear comfortable shoes and clothing as you might go outside for activities. Lunch is provided; please bring your own water bottle.

Cost: $35.00

Exact cash, check or money order due at the workshop. Please make checks payable to Dunes Learning Center.

Cost associated with registration is to provide you with the educator guides, lunch, and facility cleaning fee.  Guides are distributed only with requisite hours of training.  Attendance and participation in the entire workshop is required to receive any of the materials, regardless of fee payment.
