Project WET and Project WILD invites you to explore and share the fascinating world of wildlife and natural resources using fun, hands-on educational activities. Learn how to teach conservation to children through a Professional Development workshop.

During this workshop, participants will be introduced to Project WET and Project WILD, award winning international environmental education programs. This workshop is designed to help educators teach wildlife and water-focused conservation to students, kindergarten through 12th grade, in formal and non-formal classrooms. Project WET and Project WILD materials are correlated to Common Core Standards, Next Generation Science Standards, and Indiana State Standards. The lessons are designed to foster awareness, appreciation and stewardship of water resources, while expanding students' knowledge and skills.

Workshop participants will receive:
  • Project WET Educator Guide,
  • Project WILD Educator Guide,
  • Eight contact hours that can be applied towards Teacher’s Professional Growth Plan (PGP),
  • Certificate of workshop completion in Project WET & Project WILD,
  • Indiana-specific resources,
  • Lunch,
  • And more!
Anyone who works with children, including teachers, homeschoolers, informal educators, and scout leaders are welcome. This workshop is tailored to educate children in outdoor learning settings. Pre-registration is required to attend. At the workshop, please wear comfortable shoes and clothing as you might go outside for activities. Lunch is provided, but please bring your own water bottle.

Cost: $40.00

Cost associated with registration is to provide you with the educator guides, lunch, and facility cleaning fee. Guides are distributed only with requisite hours of training. Attendance and participation in the entire workshop is required to receive any of the materials, regardless of fee payment.
