The Ohio River Then and Now: Snapshots Since the Peak of the Last Ice Age, Falls of the Ohio State Park
Start Date: 3/7/2020Start Time: 3:00 PM
End Date: 3/7/2020End Time: 4:00 PM
Event Description:
The Ohio River hasn't always looked like what we see today.  In fact, during the peak of the last Ice Age about 24,000 years ago it looked very different. Since then, the river has slowly evolved as the Ice Age was coming to an end and climate was generally warming. This presentation will discuss several snapshots in time of the evolution of the Ohio River based on evidence in the Upper Ohio River Basin (above the Falls).
