End Date: 9/19/2020End Time: 11:45 AM
Event Description:

"Learning About Plants & Animals through Observational Drawing" - participants will learn how to sketch small items from nature, studying the items with the naked eye and with a magnifying glass.

Do you enjoy art and science? This workshop is for you! Join Arts in the Park artist Sofiya Inger to learn how to study and sketch small items from nature. Participants will discover how observation is essential to drawing, just as a scientist closely observes an organism they are studying. Participants will also learn about bug and plant life, and uncover how certain features provide advantage for survival, growth, behavior and reproduction. This free workshop is made by possible by the Indiana Arts Commission, Indiana Department of Natural Resources "Arts in the Park" grant, and Arts for Learning Indiana. Meets in the Mounds State Park Nature Center.
