Take the Indiana State Parks “Second Century Survey”
Start Date: 2/1/2017
Event Description:
The public can make suggestions about what the next 100 years of Indiana State Parks will look like by filling out an online survey.

After celebrating its centennial in 2016, Indiana State Parks this year has turned its attention to the future by launching the “Second Century Survey.” Survey results will help state parks officials plan for the future of facilities and services.

The survey is at stateparks.IN.gov/9410.htm.

It takes about 15 minutes to complete and covers a variety of topics. Its 33 questions ask users to rate service, value and facilities at state park properties and inns. The survey also asks users where they would like Indiana State Parks to devote future resources.

“We spent a year celebrating being 100, and now we are looking to the future and want ideas and thoughts from Hoosiers about their interests and priorities,” said Ginger Murphy, deputy director for stewardship for Indiana State Parks. “We really appreciate all those who take the time out of their day to complete the survey.”

Those who complete the survey are eligible for drawings for annual passes, camping gift cards, inns gift cards and more. Drawings will happen in May 2017 and again in October for prizes that apply to 2018.

The survey includes a set of questions for those who don’t visit state park properties. It is a chance for them to tell park officials why they don’t visit.

Indiana has 24 state parks, eight state reservoirs and seven state park inns.
