Project WET, Project WILD, and Project Learning Tree invites you to explore and share the fascinating world of wildlife and ecosystems using fun, hands-on educational activities. Learn how to teach conservation to children through a Professional Development workshop.

During this training, participants will be introduced to three national early childhood development environmental education programs: Growing Up WILD, Getting Little Feet WET, and Project Learning Tree Early Childhood. Using interdisciplinary, hands-on activities, this interactive workshop will offer ways for educators to introduce their students (ages 3-7) to nature. Gain ideas to build on your young students’ sense of wonder about nature and be comfortable replicating workshop activities in your own education settings.

This workshop provides educators with the skills to deliver positive impressions about nature and lifelong social and academic skills to children ages 3-7. The curriculum activity guides are correlated to Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework and National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Accreditation. Several of the activities involve children directly exploring nature outdoors.

You may register for one or both days:
  • Register for both days – attend all three trainings, $40
  • Day one - Project Learning Tree, $20
  • Day two - Getting Little Feet WET (new), FREE!
  • Registration is required for both days for Growing Up WILD, $20
Workshop participants will receive:
  • Educator guide correlating to registered training,
  • Contact hours that can be applied towards Teacher's Professional Growth Plan (PGP),
  • Certificate of completion in Early Childhood Educator workshop,
  • Indiana-specific resources,
  • And more!
Anyone who works with children, including teachers, homeschoolers, informal educators, and scout leaders are welcome. This workshop is tailored to educate children ages 3-7. Pre-registration is required to attend. At the workshop, please wear comfortable shoes and clothing as you might go outside for activities. Lunch is not provided; please bring your own snacks and/or refreshments.

Registration fee is to provide you with the educator guide. Guides and materials are distributed only with requisite hours of training. Attendance and participation in the entire workshop is required to receive any of the materials, regardless of fee payment.
