[DNR] Friends of UWIS to host membership drive, Dec. 8 |

Event Description: The public is invited to join the Friends of Upper Wabash Interpretive Services group during a membership drive on Dec. 8 at the Salamonie Interpretive Center in Lost Bridge West State Recreation Area.
The meeting is at 1 p.m. Those who join can attend a members-only raptor presentation at 1:15 p.m.
The meeting is also an opportunity to hear about new developments, projects to develop special events at Salamonie and Mississinewa lakes, improvements for bird enclosures for winter, fundraising for exhibit repair, adopt an animal and volunteer opportunities, and new birds at the raptor center.

UWIS provides interpretive, recreational and educational programming for visitors to Salamonie and Mississinewa lakes, Salamonie River State Forest, J. Edward Roush Fish & Wildlife Area and Ouabache State Park.
