[DNR] November, December programs at Falls of the Ohio SP

Event Description:
Falls of the Ohio Interpretive Center will offer a series of public programs in November and December.

Programs will be in the Interpretive Center Library at 1 p.m., except for the Nov. 23 archaeology program, which starts at 9:30 a.m. Most programs last one hour. They are: 

* Wednesday, Nov. 20: Navigating around the Falls of the Ohio, by historian Chuck Parrish. 
* Saturday, Nov. 23: Archaeology, by Kathy McGrath of Corn Island Archaeology, who will explain the life of an archaeologist with examples of activities and discoveries. 
* Wednesday, Dec. 4: The History of Clark County, by storyteller Mandy Dick, who will review the past 210 years since Clark County’s founding as part of the Northwest Territory. 
* Saturday, Dec. 7: Geodes, by interpretive naturalist Alan Goldstein, who will teach how geodes are formed and the diversity of crystals inside. 
* Wednesday, Dec. 11: Cave Fish of North America, by Dr. William Pearson, University of Louisville biologist and expert. 
* Saturday, Dec. 14: Remarkable Clarks, by storyteller Mandy Dick, who will explore the legacy of brothers George Rogers Clark and William Clark. 
* Wednesday, Dec. 18: Uncovering the Ordovician, by interpretive naturalist Alan Goldstein, who will cover the abundant fossils found in the Ordovician-age rocks between Louisville, Madison and Cincinnati.

Admission to the Interpretive Center costs $2 for ages 2-18 or $5 for ages 19 and older.
